Sr. Mobile Application Developer
Zillow has gone mobile, and we are excited about this new way for home owners, buyers, sellers and professionals to tap into all the great information Zillow has to offer. The Zillow iPhone application is off to an incredible start with over 500,000 downloads in the first two months. We are looking to hire a developer who can take our iPhone application to the next level. Are you a Senior Mobile Developer that has built iPhone, Blackberry or other native mobile applications? We are looking for someone with a track record of success developing mobile applications preferably on the iPhone or Blackberry platforms, but experience on other mobile environments is a plus.
Skills:
• Expertise in developing mobile consumer software applications preferably on the iPhone and/or Blackberry platforms.
• Experience with Objective-C/Xcode, Java or C++/C# depending on mobile platform experience, with a preference for Objective-C and/or J2ME
• Technical expertise in Ajax, XML, Web 2.0 application frameworks, tools and technologies
• Exposure to integrating RESTful APIs and web services with applications
• BS in Computer Science with a minimum of 6 years of software application and systems development experience
• A proven track record of high productivity in application, architecture, design, coding, debugging
• Ability to manage tasks involving multiple, concurrent projects
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks with limited need for supervision
• The ability to work in a fast, agile-like and nimble environment with frequent change
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Passion for Web 2.0 and mobile applications
Responsibilities:
• Primary developer of the company's iPhone (and other mobile platform) applications
• Be involved at all stages of application development, from UI design to final testing
• Work closely with other developers to implement server APIs and services to support planned mobile functionality
• Work on an ongoing basis with UI designers, Program Managers and Testers in a team environment
• Consistently write performance-minded, highly-readable code using OO best practices
