We are expanding our award-winning public relations team, and we’re looking for a strategic and results-oriented PR manager to drive many facets of our consumer-facing PR programs. This includes consumer product positioning and key messages, PR planning for product/feature launches, and ongoing media relations. We are looking for someone with a passion for knowing our consumer products inside and out, and an ability to clearly communicate the Zillow story. As the ideal candidate, you are organized, energetic and count media relations among your greatest professional strengths – in fact you like it best of everything you do.

You will interact closely with Zillow executives and be able to have a say in how we build and shape our two-year-old startup into the most visible and largest real estate Web site in the country today. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications.
Responsibilities include:
• Being a leader -- owning PR plans and projects from start to finish.
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously, while managing and keeping track of all deliverables, dates and follow-thorough.
• Working with various business teams on new product and feature launches
• Developing and fostering relationships with key media.
• Writing messaging documents, press releases, fact sheets and pitches.
• Serving as company spokesperson on select announcements, both print and broadcast.
• Working closely and collaboratively with a team of other talented PR pros.
Qualifications:
• 5 - 8 years public relations experience with a consumer-focused company or clients.
• Experience managing projects and teams.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Proven communicator – written and verbal.
• Combination of excellent analytical skills with the ability to think big and be creative.
• Capability to work calmly and quickly in fast-paced and changing situations.
• Experience with blogging, blogs and social media a plus.
• 4-year college degree in journalism, communications or other related major.
• 10% travel required.
